According to the Korea Meteorological Administration's forecast, atmospheric instability is expected to intensify as we head toward the latter part of the week. The day after tomorrow, localized, heavy showers are predicted to pour down in Seoul, inland Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon, the Chungcheong region, northeastern Jeonbuk, and parts of inland Gyeongbuk. Due to the nature of showers, precipitation varies greatly by region, and some areas in Gangwon could see heavy rain of over 40mm, requiring caution. Looking at the temperature trend, the heat will show a temporary lull until the middle of this week due to rain in the central-northern regions. Daytime temperatures in Seoul will hover around 26 degrees, showing a distribution similar to or slightly lower than average years. However, as the weekend approaches, cold air in the upper atmosphere is expected to dissipate, and temperatures will begin to rise again. On Saturday, temperatures in Seoul are expected to climb back to 30 degrees, with full-scale summer heat emerging. Since there are many days where the daily temperature range widens to around 10 degrees, you may feel chilly in the morning and evening, so it is beneficial for health management to carry a thin outer layer to help maintain body temperature.
