Bangbae’s new crown, Samsung C&T’s ‘Raemian Leferium’, sends a message to the reconstruction market > News

This project is a large-scale project to create a large complex consisting of 928 households in 7 buildings ranging from 5 floors underground to 41 floors above ground in the area of 725 Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu. As a huge construction cost of approximately KRW 653.8 billion will be invested, Samsung C&T plans to transform Bangbaesin Samho into an overwhelming landmark by concentrating all of its construction capabilities. The complex’s name, ‘Raemian Leperium’, is a combination of the French word ‘Leper’, meaning landmark, and the Latin word ‘Imperium’, a symbol of authority, and contains the intention to sublimate the historical value of Bangbae-dong into a modern luxury residential space. The union members proved their strong trust in Samsung C&T's brand power and future vision by passing the final vote at this general meeting following the selection of the preferred bidder last January.

The core of the complex's design lies in its overwhelming appearance and maximization of views. Samsung C&T announced that it will adopt an elevation design with a laurel wreath and crown motif and create a beautiful cityscape that combines the waves of the Han River and the natural scenery of Umyeonsan Mountain. Sky Community, located on the 41st floor, the highest floor, is more than just a relaxation space and functions as a viewing spot with a panoramic view of the Han River and Namsan Tower, providing residents with the highest level of residential experience in Korea. In particular, the central plaza of approximately 2,300 pyeong, which was created by drastically improving the existing rigid layout of the main building, will provide a special opportunity to enjoy both nature and the city center within the complex through overwhelming landscaping reminiscent of a royal garden.

Samsung C&T also showed exceptional details in terms of software that determines housing quality. About 55 diverse community programs, including fitness, swimming pools, and golf clubs, provide customized cultural experiences that take into account the tastes of residents, while private communities arranged in each building ensure privacy and efficient movement at the same time. What's even more interesting is that through collaboration with a scent marketing company, a signature scent inspired by the elegance of European royal families was introduced throughout the complex. This can be interpreted as an attempt to elevate ‘Raemian Leperium’ into a brand with artistic value beyond just a residential space by reflecting not only visual splendor but also olfactory experience in the design.

Safety and a comfortable living environment were also treated as important non-negotiable factors in this reconstruction project. Samsung C&T fundamentally minimized inter-floor noise problems by introducing a first-class floor structure using its own patented technology, and maximized residential safety by reflecting the earthquake-resistant special grade design of major national infrastructure facilities. This technical policy is interpreted as Samsung C&T's strategic decision to remain faithful to the essence of ‘a good house to live in,’ which is evaluated as the most important in the recent housing market. By combining the advantages of existing locations such as transportation, prestigious school districts, and abundant green infrastructure with cutting-edge technology, Bangbaesin Samho is expected to establish itself as a luxury residential complex that will become a benchmark in the Gangnam area reconstruction market in the future.
